Biography

Cathy has over 30 years experience in the Australian Public Service, almost entirely in the health sector.  Much of her career has focussed on the development of evidence-based policy in clinical practice and public health. Cathy's PhD research examined whether paying greater attention to cultural competence would enhance health-related public policy development deliberations in multicultural societies. Her work compared experiences in Australia and Canada at both the Federal and State/Provincial levels of government.
