Biography
I obtained my PhD from The University of Melbourne in the Dept. of History and Philosophy of Science based on fieldwork in the southern Peruvian Andes. I joined the Department of Anthropology in November 2007 to undertake postdoctoral research on rural development processes in East Timor from anthropological and sociological perspectives, involving fieldwork in East Timor and archival research in Portugal. I am currently working on a book about mining and indigenous communities in Peru.
