Research interests

My current research focuses upon the regulation in the Australian health care system, particularly governance strategies to improve the safety and quality of health care for patients, and the management of patients complaints by health care ombudsmen. My second focus is the analysis of health care systems and health policy issues in countries in the Asia Pacific area. I am a board member of the Asia Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies.
