Biography
Steven Rood has been in the Philippines since 1981 at the University of the Philippines – Baguio, The Asia Foundation, and Social Weather Stations.
Currently Visiting Fellow at the Department of Political and Social Change, and Fellow-in-Residence and Board Member of Social Weather Stations, he is the author of The Philippines: What Everyone Needs to Know ® (Oxford University Press, 2019).
Previously, Steven was Professor of Political Science at the University of the Philippines Baguio from 1981-1999 (Research Program Director, Cordillera Studies Center).
From 1999 - 2017 he was the Philippine Country Representative at The Asia Foundation.
