    Abstract

    Collects and estimates a set of annual data on socioeconomic situations of China's fifty-six ethnic groups, including the general social and economic situation for each group. Discusses a brief view of multicultural China; macroeconomic conditions; population and labor force; employment and wages; people's livelihoods; social production and rural economy; education and science and technology; public health and social security; and culture and sports. Appendixes include information on China's ethnic populations reported in the 2000 and 2010 national censuses; administrative and demographic statistics of ethnic minority autonomous areas; and principal indicators on economic and social development in ethnic minority autonomous areas.
