Abstract
This essay focuses on the works of Edwin, an interesting fringe filmmaker, and a familiar one in the short film circuit in Indonesia, who has consistently made quality short films with a strong conceptualization and visual style. Edwin is not exactly "a household name" as claimed on his Blind Pig website, and this marginal status bears stating as it situates the filmmaker as part of the "truly indie" film world.
